How do I login?

If you’re an IDCA member, you already have an IDCA website account.  Your Username is your first initial of your first name combined with your last name.  (I.e.  John Smith's Username would be "JSMITH".)  Your password is your IDCA membership ID number followed by a zero (0).  (I.e. If your membership number is 12345, your Password would be "123450".)  If you have an existing account, please DO NOT create a new account.  

Click on “Sign In” at the top of the page and enter your Username and Password on the Sign In screen.  Check the “Remember me on this computer” checkbox for ease of use to keep you signed in between web sessions.

If you’ve forgotten your username and password, click on “Sign In” at the top of any webpage.  On the Sign In screen, click “Forgot my password” or “my username” to reset your password or have your username e-mailed to you.  Please note: an e-mail will be sent to the email address we have in your contact record.  (If you do not receive an e-mail, please check your Junk Mail filter or contact IDCA Headquarters, / 515-244-2847.)

If you’re not an IDCA member, click “Create a new account” to create a website account. 

How do I know when I’m signed in?

Once you sign in, you will be re-directed to your Member Home Page and you will stay logged in unless you log out.  (Please consider checking the “Remember me on this computer” checkbox to keep you signed in, between web sessions.)  You can also tell you’re signed in by looking at the top of any web page where you’ll see a blue “Sign Out” box with your name beside it.

What are some of the features on this new website?

The IDCA website is now linked directly to the member database.  This means members have real-time access to their individual information, including CLE credits and event registrations.
  1. Members can edit their contact information and it will immediately update on the website and in the Member Directory. 
  2. Members can edit their profile; add/change Practice Areas/Specialties.
  3. Members can search and filter results in the Jury Verdict Database.
  4. Members can enter their own Jury Verdicts in the Database.
  5. Members can renew their membership online.
  6. Members can view publication archives, Amicus Briefs and legal resource links.
  7. Members can access the Listserv and view listserv archives.
  8. New Members can join online.
  9. Members and non-members can register for IDCA events.
  10. The Calendar of Events is in both a calendar and list format and viewable by clicking on the date/subject.

How do I edit my profile?

First sign in to your website account, then click on your name at the top of the page and your profile page will display.  Click the pencil by any of the editable sections to edit your information. 

How do I upload a photograph to my profile?

On your Individual Profile page, click the pencil near the camera on the left side of the page.  The photo cannot exceed 1 MB.  NOTE:  Photos reside only on the website.  IDCA will not use the photo for any other purpose without permission.

How do I view my CLE credits?

After signing in, click on your name at the top of the page and your profile page will display.  Your CLE credits are displayed in the center of the page at the bottom in reverse chronological order.  (You can re-order the information by clicking on the linked titles at the top of the information.)  And you can export your CLE credits to Word, Excel, PDF, etc. by clicking on the appropriate icon at the top of the CLE section.

How do I find other IDCA members?

After signing in, you can access the Members Directory under "MEMBERS" and search for members by state, name, company name, city, state practice areas/specialty and/or District.  

How do I access the IDCA Jury Verdict Database?

After signing in, you can access the Jury Verdict Entry page under "MEMBERS" and search for jury verdicts by type, date and county.  (Search results will be displayed in reverse chronological order.)

How can I enter Jury Verdicts in the Database?

After signing in, you can access the Jury Verdict Entry page under "MEMBERS" > "Jury Verdict Database".  On the Jury Verdict Entry page, click on the "plus" icon on the right-hand side, to add your own jury verdicts.  (After entering a jury verdict, you can view your verdict entries by click on the down arrow.)

How can I register for IDCA events?

Click on the list or calendar of events, find your event and click on the title to get to the details and registration page.  NOTE: You must sign in to register for an event.

What if I get ‘locked out’?

Getting the ‘locked out’ message means more than three failed attempts have been made to try to sign in with incorrect information.  You will need to contact to re-set your login/password.

Does IDCA have a social media presence?

Yes!  You can get to IDCA’s LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook page by clicking the icons at the very top or in the footer on any of the website pages.

Internet Explorer 11 users: Is the top website navigation appearing on the right side of the page instead of across the top?

This is a known issue in the Internet Explorer, ver. 11 browser.  To make the navigation appear as it was intended, in your IE11 browser: Go to Tools > "Compatibility View settings" and un-check both the "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" and "Use Microsoft compatibility lists" check boxes.  Close the dialog box and re-load your webpage.
